RexShield ProSeal

RexShield ProSeal is a professional-grade, single-component epoxy-acrylic hybrid sealer designed specifically for cementitious surfaces that require enhanced protection and durability. Engineered for ease of use, it delivers many of the performance benefits of a two-component system in a ready-to-use, water-based formulation.

ProSeal provides excellent adhesion to concrete and masonry substrates while offering strong resistance to water, chemicals, and surface wear. It enhances the appearance of the surface with a satin to semi-gloss finish while improving overall durability in both interior and exterior environments.

As part of the RexPro system, ProSeal can be used as a standalone, cost-effective sealer or as a primer/base coat when paired with RexPro’s silane-based coatings. When used in combination, it helps maximize performance, improve coverage, and create a more robust, long-lasting protection system.

Its water-based formulation makes it easy to apply, low in VOCs, and non-hazardous for shipping and handling—ideal for both contractors and facility applications. Sold in Gallon, Quart, and Pint sizes.

Application Overview

1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, dirt, oil, and contaminants. Mechanical preparation such as shot blasting or grinding may be required for optimal adhesion.

2. Application
Apply using a low-pressure sprayer, roller, or a combination of both. Ensure even coverage across the surface.

3. First Coat
Allow the first coat to penetrate and dry for approximately 1 hour.

4. Additional Coats
If a second coat is desired, apply after the first coat has dried and the surface is clean and free of contaminants.

5. Coverage
Coverage rates vary depending on surface porosity. Porous surfaces will require more material than smooth surfaces.

6. System Use (Optional)
For enhanced performance, apply RexPro silane-based coatings over ProSeal after proper curing.

Note: ProSeal is designed specifically for cementitious substrates. For maximum protection and performance, it can be used as a primer in combination with RexPro silane-based coating systems.
